Hello all.

I'm trying to create a USCIS account but first I need to verify my identity.

It is asking for the alien number and DOS number. I have been through all the paperwork and my passport and cannot see the DOS number anywhere?

All advice appreciated!!

It's the case number you use to check your status on CEAC. It usually starts with three letters stands for the Embassy and a bunch of numbers.

I did try that, quite a few times but all I get is the following message

'If your immigrant visa was approved recently, wait five days before attempting to pay. If the problem continues after five days, contact the USCIS Contact Center for assistance'

My AOS was only filed back end of May so cant be that? I did file an expedite request today though for EAD, do you think that could be the issue?

DOS number isn’t applicable in your case coz you are doing AOS and not the immigrant visa.

I have tried not entering anything for the DOS number and the website will not allow it. Totally confused.

It shouldnt link you to the second link automatically after signing in on link one.

What are you clicking/doing in between that as you have not said.

The second link is to pay the immigrant fee for Spousal visas (you can see that embedded in the link even). Signing in on link one will not automatically bring you to link 2.

I am not clicking on anything inbetween.

I access the onboarding page, click verify and thats the link it gives me.

Does anyone know or have the correct link? :)

What are you trying to do? That link is specifically for those paying for immigrant fee after getting Visa approved. So i say don’t click on that link.

If you are simply adding your case in your account, you can do so without clicking there.

Hello,

I cannot really remember for sure but looking at the posts above it seems that I was on the incorrect link.

I am hoping someone else can see your post and give you the answer you need.
