OK, the word "obsolete" is actually appropriate. My point though was that you can still apply for it and it seems that it has helped several people to have their I-130 approved faster in Nebraska. And with processing times ever increasing, you never know, they might start using it again for its original purpose. Bottom line is it's free and there is no downside applying for it with your I-130 (except the wait for AED) so you should not tell people to forget it.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
