DVD Burner Help

Well, we think it is about time to get a new DVD burner because ours only burns up to 8x and they seem to not be making alot of 8x Blank DVDs anymore...

just the other day we bought a pack of blank DVD's and it said up to 16x so I thought they would work but it turns out they don't

So anywho, like I said we have decided to get a new DVD burner....

but I have no idea which one is a good one .. we only want to spend between 30 to 50 bucks on it....

I have seen that they have ones that burn 18x now and I think I saw a 20x.... I figured we should get a 18x to try and keep ahead of the game but will a 18x still burn 16x blank dvds??
