If we submitted the DS160 before that question was on the electronic application and don't have an interview scheduled yet, should we submit a new DS160 with the update and complete social media details before the interview?

No, 4 people I know personally had their interviews this week and did not have to update it.

does it say "all social media"    ????

do you think they are going to list the hundreds of dating sites and other places

they are leaving this up to the immigrant

so,  decide

add or don't add

i would as better safe than sorry

but it is your judgement call

Agree. Add all that you can, better to just be upfront with it all now instead of risk consequences later.

What is everyone still arguing about instead of allowing people to get legitimate questions answered?  The pictures are posted, there is no opportunity to add anything to the list- just pick from the list if you used it in the last 5 years and move on.

Hello!

Regarding social media identifiers question. What name should I put exactly, the one I use to login (mostly email) or the one which appears on my profile page?

Also, I had MySpace account and google plus account, but I rarely use both, and I don't remember user name, and I can't login to either sites because apparently they are no longer on the Internet,  should I include those two accounts or not?

Also regarding personal phone number, I have used one number in 2014 and stopped using it, and my current number I have been using since the end of 2014, should I include both numbers?

I don't know who has my previous number now, I'm thinking it's risky to provide it, especially that i'm not the one who's been using it since 2014!

The beneficiary has to complete it at the embassy stage. You get the date after USCIS approves your application and sends it to the NVC and the NVC sends it to the embassy. This information is in the guides posted on here so search around a bit for more detailed info.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone read anything related to private social media accounts? I assume it would be taken as totally sketchy to put your handle down for an account you keep private. That really sucks for people who keep their accounts private for personal reasons. Or does Dept of State like... friend request you? lol.

Pretty sure if they are that curious they will just ask NSA to get information directly from the source.

so do both the beneficiary and petitioner need to submit all this? or just the beneficiary  because they are the one entering the country?

Hi, what do you think I should do about accounts I have deleted within the past 5 years? I created a new Facebook back in 2016 and my old account was deleted. The same goes for tumblr accounts I deleted years back but still falls in the 5 year bracket?

In a broad sense VisaJourney.com is a social medium. VJ ID should be listed?  Maybe not...

Yes I was also asking myself this - is VJ to be reported as Social media when submitting  DS 160?

Up to you. It's not necessary. There is a list with social media like facebook, reddit, etc where you put your handle if you have one of those on the list. Then there is another question asking if you would like to share any other social media account not on the list, and you can say yes or no.
