Moving after interview is scheduled

Good night, everyone. My aos interview is scheduled for July 15th in Queens office but our lease ends on July 1 and we’re moving to Manhattan. I was wondering if my interview would be cancelled and put in line in Manhattan office or once it’s schedule it won’t be affected? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

The time it takes things processed at USCIS these days, I don't think that I would do anything to mess with the ASC scheduling minions right now. Are you going to ask for a change of venue to the Manhattan office? You currently have a scheduled appointment , transferring to another office is a whole different situation. Who knows when and if ASC will be scheduling AOS interviews in Manhattan? It kind of comes down to the old saying, "A bird in the hand, is better than two in the bush."  The choice is yours.

I think once the interview is scheduled, it should be fine. Especially given that Manhattan office is just a floor below. But I would call Uscis to ask

I'd worry more about not breaking the law. Update your address within 10 days of your move. I highly doubt they would cancel your interview with 5 days to go.

I doubt they would get it through their system to cancel the interview in time due to moving even if you moved today. Their system is, much like the rest of USCIS, very slow to see changes.

That said, if you move to location covered by a different USCIS field office, the IO may determine that they no longer have jurisdiction on the case and have to transfer it.
