Bottom line, applications for entry are assessed on their own merits, not because the CBP Officer is busy/slow and wants to get people through/take his coffee break.

Exactly.  At my local border crossing, the officers are competent and thorough whether it is Wednesday lunchtime or the end of a holiday weekend.

Yes! And, of course, because they work shifts no one should be fooled into thinking that 5 pm on Friday is a good time because they want to hurry and get home for the weekend. In fact, the officer may have started his shift at 4 pm and be working through the night and just had his two days off so it’s actually his Monday morning.

Well we've had reports from other members who've said they were quite incompetent around supper time at her crossing.  Insofar as to just leave for an hour while people were waiting.  🤷‍♀️

You've been planning for her M1 visa expiration for over a year now, and you still think that just going to Canada for a few weeks and coming back as a tourist is her best option? Even if they let her back in, it would not be a permanent solution. She will have to return to Ireland at some point, unless you guys are ready to get married.

They aren't ready for "that" even tho he has been asking about options for a year.

he says May 16th that her M1 is about to expire so they better be ready for better plan

Wondering if anyone has advice about when the best time is to cross the Canadian-US border into the US in order to help increase the chances of my girlfriends visa paperwork getting approved.

This is a VERY strange and highly unusual question. Why would you think that crossing the US/Canadian border would increase chances of approval?

Well children generally don't understand visa processes anyhow.

There is a long distance cycle race that comes by me, starts in Canada finishes on the Mexican border, anyway the leader should be coming by this evening and whilst I certainly do nto see all the riders I can ask those who I do what their experience was.

I’ll be very disappointed if you don’t ensure that you poll every rider !! Don’t want to share incomplete information do we ?

Usually about 100 make it this far and they come through at all times and it can be several weeks before the last one comes past, not sure what the OP's timeline is.

I’m sure you’ll be diligent !! 🤪Don’t think there’s been a second post from OP up til now , so you may have no time or plenty of time .
