CR1 and IR1 are scheduled by NVC before the case leaves the US

the embassy lets NVC know of openings and cases approved are given a spot

it is done daily

but CR1 are notebly about a month to schedule after cc at NVC

Dallas has many herb stores not sure which one will be closest to you in McKinney

I found it easier to grow our own Mint and parsley

and cover it in winter by building a frame and putting a glass cover over it so it waters itself

Awww great about the spice stores.  I live in a rural part of McKinney and already grow my own mint.  But I haven’t started parsley yet.  Those are excellent suggestions.  I found a place that sells Hala meat so, I will check that out once I’m back in the states.  Right now, I’m coming to Morocco every 3 months.  Have you had any problems bringing olive oil home through customs from Morocco?

So in your original post you said after the Consulate approves it could be 2-3 months to receive the visa?  Am I understanding you correct?  Thanks.

after  consulate approves (actually get the "welcome to the US phamplet, ) it should not take months

the AP they put some in for extra security checks or document verification can take months

and Adil was able to bring olive oil home 2 liters

i made him pack it by taping the top and put it in zip lock bags / no one wants olive oil leaking all over their clothes

but i pack all shampoo ,  shaving cream , etc this way too

Don't buy what Amazon calls Moroccan olive oil---it isn't

I’ve been very fortunate about olive oil.  My husband has been able to easily obtain this for me to cook with during my stay.  Perhaps it’s because I’m not in one of the larger cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier or Marrakesh.  I haven’t looked for Saffron as I don’t cook with it.  Thyme has been what I have been searching for as of late.

So just wondering about the Consulate in Casablanca any idea how long they take to do the interview once the NVC processes their side?  Do they only schedule appointments once a month?  (I read that somewhere.)

My fiancé and I had our papers forwarded from nvc on January 10th we just got our interview scheduled for July 11. It took so long!!

K1 is taking a long time to schedule in Casa /  as you see they are months behind as there are mountains of applications coming to USCIS from Morocco now

It’s been frustrating. I know a Moroccan Woman who’s fiancé is Moroccan (In America)  and she got an interview after waiting 2 weeks. They called her and let her know that there were some couples who had split up and asked if she wanted to take their place in line.

then she was in luck

and i am sure one of the things Casa does it is string some interviews out (sometimes with a denial to see how far the couple will go)  just to see who will break up

when adil interviewed and i waited outside with another Florida woman (VJ member)  she divorced him after her Rachid was denied/ said she just could not afford to go any further

Oh that’s really sad for that man. I’m willing to do whatever it takes but I’m really hoping  our wait is over soon. 😢
