no idea but that is for those married over 2 years and last few months the embassy is approving more CR1's

the fact that the K1's are so few is the scary part but this could be many ds5535 were given out and a big number of K1's are still in AP

Can I ask why you think having a decrease in K1’s is scary?  When looking at the K1 vs the CR1 my husband And I decided the CR1 was less risky and he would have a green card upon entertaining the US.  Now, I’m wondering if we made a mistake given the I 130 processing times.

And if if I need Moroccan food, I’ll just get my mother or sister in law to cook it.  They are all excellent cooks.  😏

not thinking so much about the food itself but international markets sometimes are hard to find

like real morocco olive oil is hard to get and safron for bestillah is espensive here (a small size spice jar is $17)

so prepare to look for things and stock up when you can

you are in AP and waiting

and yes,   can be very normal  /  one woman has been waiting since Dec for them to finish processing ds5535

AP is always open ended for Casa / days, weeks or months

I’ve been very fortunate about olive oil.  My husband has been able to easily obtain this for me to cook with during my stay.  Perhaps it’s because I’m not in one of the larger cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier or Marrakesh.  I haven’t looked for Saffron as I don’t cook with it.  Thyme has been what I have been searching for as of late.

So just wondering about the Consulate in Casablanca any idea how long they take to do the interview once the NVC processes their side?  Do they only schedule appointments once a month?  (I read that somewhere.)

CR1 and IR1 are scheduled by NVC before the case leaves the US

the embassy lets NVC know of openings and cases approved are given a spot

it is done daily

but CR1 are notebly about a month to schedule after cc at NVC

Dallas has many herb stores not sure which one will be closest to you in McKinney

I found it easier to grow our own Mint and parsley

and cover it in winter by building a frame and putting a glass cover over it so it waters itself
