Sent to wrong embassy

Hi everyone,

I recently came across this website and thought I would ask for some guidance. To make a long story short, I met my Egyptian Fiancee when I was in Indonesia. We were engaged in January 2018 (still in Indonesia at the time) and began the process for the fiancee visa in July 2018 ( I should have started it earlier looking back). Everything was moving along just fine until I found out that her application, after being approved by NVC, was sent to the wrong Embassy. My fiancee has to return to Cairo (Ill spare you the details) in order to conduct the interview and even after having specifying on my application for it to be sent to Cairo and NOT Indonesia, the application was still sent to Indonesia. So I contacted both embassies and explained the situation, and the US Embassy in Indonesia sent the case to Cairo on May 6, 2019 via diplomatic pouch. It is now June 22 and I am lost at what to do next. Does it normally take this long for diplomatic pouches to be transferred? Is there a way for me to track where the diplomatic pouch is currently at?

Or is there a number I could call to have someone look it up? Even better, does anyone in this forum know a consulate officer in Cairo who I could talk to? Any help would be very very much appreciated.

if he lived in Indonesia for over 6 months,  remember to get the criminal report before leaving that country
