sounds like you responded to the RFE but did not label it properly so immigration had no idea what to do with your documents

when sending anything to immigration office in or out of the country,   label each and every page in the upper right hand corner with the case #, both names, and both DOB's

send them all in the same envelope with the bar code letter (keeping a good readable copy of what you sent)

just sending documents to immigation thinking they know what to do with them doesn't work,

they have thousands and thousands of applications sitting on the desks in every office

u can look up the stats to see that in 2018 stats that immigration issued 9,028,026 visas with an additional 1, 032,467 border crossings

by these numbers you should be able to see how easy something can be misplaced or lost If not identified correctly

I would also disagree. I've been on this site way too long and too much to see that attorneys don't prevent RFEs. Sometimes they catch things. Sometimes they cause things. Either way, not an issue for the OP.

There are certainly bad attorneys.  As I said before, we are all subject to RFEs.  Just because you have an attorney doesn’t mean you won’t get one.  How it’s handled makes a huge difference.  But before I tell someone that I know more than an attorney when they are seeking legal advice ( the OP wasn’t, only asking what it meant) I caution on the side of error.  This advice I have for you...know your scope of practice, i.e. know what you are trained in.  I would not presume to argue with you about being a programmer and your knowledge.  As I would hope you would not think you know more than I do about my profession.

Should the OP be careful absolutely, but your posts come across as you’ve seen all and know all.  I have as much right to my opinion as you do.  Each are colored by our experiences.

I'm still curious what an attorney would do at this point.

I certainly have not seen all, and certainly do not know all. But nothing in the OP's case jumps out as unusual nor does it appear there is any need for any action at this time. That might change, but all signs right now point to "sit, wait, and check up again later". 🤷‍♂️

For your records i do have an attorney from day one when i start my k1 visa until now.  Attorney doesn't prevent you from getting a RFE. I did contacted my lawyer about the inquiry response  and he told me they are very bucked up and to be patient.

I have an attorney and i sent to him the evidence and then he did review them and forward  them to uscis, i got a response that they received my RFE respons. So it was labled correctly.

I started to think this rfe was sent randomly and my case was not touched at all, was in the storage since it was transfered from cali to Vermont.

Contacted my lawyer and he said i just need to wait.  I saw cases near mine with +100  days and no decision is made.  I do believe they have thousands of cases and they don't have space where to put them, so they store them and take little by little from storage.
