You should list all addresses.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

List all your addresses you lived at.  The significance is they are running a background check of sorts, and want an honest, complete answer of your whereabouts.  Providing all addresses protects you, because if they come across some information about you at a certain address you never provided, you are committing potential fraud by not stating the full truth on your application.

You have the additional info page, which you can make as many copies of it as you need to get your addresses listed.

  1. It needs to be listed because it's being asked. That's really what it comes down to. If you want a benefit from them, you gotta do what they say.
  2. All previous addresses lived at need to be listed, regardless of the housing arrangement.
  3. Presumably it's used for background checks, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was compiled into a database as well.

Hi everyone,

on the form it asks for all addresses the last five five years if we have been living here, do you know the reasons behind this? What if we just subleted for a few months do we need to list it as well?

thoughts?

thank you!

Yes, I would list them all - they did ask you specifically to do so. Here's an example I did on I-485. Would be similar to I-130.

If the last page - part 14. additional information is not enough for you just type a new form with this format. Below is what I included in the new sheet. Make sure you sign.

Attachment with additional information for

The spouse beneficiary has an additional address record that could not fit on the form.

I would think ANY gap in the time table will cause for questions later..

How big of a gap are we talking about?

Will a 1-2 week gap cause problems? Like staying at Mom's house or at a hotel between address changes, for example...
