My husband had his interview in Managua on May 8th, i was with him and the consul said "congratulations" yet "he needs a police paper from his natal city (Esteli) before i send all this paper to issues his green card" (he showed the police record from Managua). So he sent the paper and his passport next day, and the embassy got them by may 10th since then the only information is that they still "reviewing" the papers. The last two updates June 3th and 7th says "Ready" but ready for interview. When I call to have more info they just says still reviewing  the papers and I have to wait for an email. I would like to know if someone had the same experience in Managua and what else i can do ??

I had my interview September 4th, I am still in “Administrative processing”. During the interview I was told to send additional documents and that an additional interview was not necessary. Next day I sent a different marriage certificate from central registry and a police certificate issued at my district.  I haven’t heard anything in 1 month. Please let us know if your case mover forward.

Thanks!

I’m very happy for your family..🙂 My case is still in AP since august 5, from nicaragua too.

Were you approved at your interview or given a 221(g)?  I'm sorry you have been waiting so long.  It is so difficult to only wait and wait.  I think that working with the embassy was probably the most difficult part of the whole process for us.

Are you processing in Nicaragua or in the US?  Where are you from in Nica (only curious...)?

Hi.. @Rmv2019The co told me that it was approved, but I needed my marriage certificate from the Supreme Electoral Council (I had the one from the mayor of Managua) and gave me a green paper indicating what I needed to send and it was 221g, I asked him how long it would take the process and told me that two weeks. My appointment was on the 5th, I sent the document on August 6 and they told me that the embassy would receive it the next day that it would be on August 7. My status does not change, I have sent them mail but they do not give me an answer if they received the document. I am from Managua and I am waiting for my process here. I already have 2 months here and nothing.
Waiting for an answer from the embassy is the most frustrating part.
The most painful part is that I am without my family, my two daughters and my husband. God willing and have news soon.

I'm so sorry.  I know it's not the same, because my boyfriend and I don't have children together, but we were separated for 18 months.  I was able to travel to Nicaragua and Costa Rica to see him, but it has been a very long wait.  I wish they would be more honest at the interview.  If the wait is going to be longer they need to stop saying 2 weeks.
