Short cut for senegalese CR1 petitioners

Hi Everyone!

I am about to petition my wife and would like to get more advise in this platform. Here is my question: Is there a difference in the timing process between submitting your CR1 in Dakar and the US? Thanks in advance for your response!

You can file the I-130 for the CR-1 from either the US or abroad. Will be same time lines either way. If abroad, as in living, remember have to re-establish domicile in the US before the visa would be approved though.

There is no USCIS field office in Dakar. Consulates do not accept immigration petitions. You would have to file it at the US lockbox.

Even if Dakar had DCF filing. K1 applicants are not eligible. Application goes to Texas Lockbox.

It's pretty simple.

 

Get married.

Gather required documents and evidence to show bona fide marriage relationship.

US citizen submits I-130 petition.

Wait about a year for petition approval, NVC stage, interview.

then do not call her your wife

not in any correspondence

that will get you denied as the CO in embassy will say you are "too" married 

don't send any photos that will create the look of a ceremony not even an engagement party
