Wrong NVC case number ?

Then my only hope to have the interview in the country of residence is for NVC to read my inquiry form before they send my case back home. It's unlikely to happen...

You can get the file transferred if it goes to the wrong place.   Just follow Greenbaums instructions.   Takes a few weeks.  Your choice how to proceed if that happens

 Off topic question.

 My fiancee wants to accompany me to the interview. Do we have to inform the embassy or fill up a form or can she just come with me at the interview ?

Nvc usually does not do transfers on k1 cases though as it stays too short for them to even see the mail.

They want a written request for transfer through nvc.

 

if they have already assigned it to the wrong embassy (although frustrating) the advice is to wait till it gets to that embassy. And then ask the embassy you want to use to request it from them.

 

still I say give it a try but don’t get frustrated if it doesn’t happen cause it is what it is and frustration really doesn’t help with this already long process. It usually takes 2-3 weeks or so.

Thank you! I will wait and if indeed it goes to my country of origin i will go there. I won't transfer it!

Update : the case has been sent to my country of origin. NVC said that if i want to transfer it , it can be done via the two embassies.
