Moving to US - Canadian Car - No TPMS

Hey everyone,

I'll be moving to NYC from Toronto by the end of the month with my parents. I'm a citizen of both countries. I have a 2016 honda civic lx 4 dr, in which I received a compliance letter but states I don't have TPMS. Having contacting several RI's, one finally agreed I can have an OEM part installed. However both US and Canada have never manufactured it. I have about 19k loan left, and the dealership only quoted me for $12k. Being fresh out of university, I simply don't have $7k to pay on the spot. The bank is okay with me moving to the US with a lien on it as long as I make my payments. I don't have the option of selling my car right now. Would I be able to drive the car from toronto to NYC and simply mention to the bother i intend on selling the car back in Canada before the year is up? Since I won't be living in Canada, I obviously wouldn't have a Canadian address so would I run into issues with my insurance? I can maybe provide them my uncle's toronto address as the mailing address to them. Idk. Ideally i would have loved to register my car there but screw this whole TPMS stress. Any advice would help!
