I will share that I used to call the embassy once a week to check in on the status of our case. For the past month or so, I started calling more often 2-3x a week and through doing that, we learned that we needed to submit another DS-160 form (although we did already in April when we submitted all of the required documents incl. our medical). That was very frustrating to be frank! 

 

When we submitted the new DS-160, we noticed that some of the order of the questions had changed and there was a new ‘social media’ question on the form asking for my fiancé’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, IG etc). Aside from that, the DS form was pretty much the same.

 

Also, through calling the embassy more often every week, we learned that new embassy officers have arrived in Haiti as of last month (in July) to help with the backlog. I also asked the embassy if this is normal (waiting 4 mos to get an interview), and representative said ‘no, some people call and they’ve been waiting 5 or 6 mos.’ That was really soul crushing to hear! But I took what the embassy rep said to God in prayer and said ‘nooo way!!!’. And sureeeeee enough my God came through!!! 🙌💃🙌. Almost 14 months after beginning this horrendousssss process, my fiancé and I will finally be reunited (in a few weeks). THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Awwww thanks so much!!! God is/has been soooooo good to us 😭🙌😭. We are rooting for you as well!! Please keep us posted. You’re done with everything and just waiting for your embassy appointment, correct?

I don't believe so... if you submit all required  documents chances are they provide you a interview
