I am just curious to hear everyone's story. At what point are you in the process? If you've already received your visa, how long did you have to wait? AP has been long and difficult for my spouse and I, and I'm wondering if it's something wrong with our case, or if that's simply procedure. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

The Consulate is in Casablanca, and our case is being handled at the Nebraska location. Thanks!

So you're still waiting for the I-130 to be processed or have you already gone through NVC and interview?

AP is after interview phase so hence why asking. AP is open ended, a lot are 2-3 days, some 2-3 weeks, some 2-3 months, and even years.

Welcome,

Everything you need about a specific country's process is in the portal section. You simply choose Morocco.

Here is a link to help you out... https://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=Morocco

Also, here is a link for reviews of the Morocco US consulate... https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Morocco

You can also use the portal's member section to read the experience from members who went through the process from that country's process.

i was 5 years and 3 applications and interviews for our IR1

every case is different

many who interviewed after june 2017 are in AP for the ds5535 but now the ds 260  handles that with fewer questions

you can also check facebook page for USC married to Moroccan or facebook visa journey morocco

I'll tell you ours. Filed petition May 2018- got petition approval 6 months later (Texas Service Center). Took NVC a little more than a month to actually receive our petition. Once received , we waited about 6 weeks for case number. Got case complete in 10 days. Got interview date a month after case complete. Approved at interview. Went into AP 3 days after interview.  I was terrified he'd be in AP for a long time but he was out of it a week later and ceac changed to "ISSUED". He received visa in hand 12 days later. Husband is arriving to USA tomorrow (inshallah) so that we may start our lives together. I have also just discovered I am expecting so it's quite a lot of life changes happening for both of us at one time.

My husband and I just finished the CR-1 process, he received his visa in Brazil almost 11 months after I filed the I-130 petition for him.  We got Texas Service Center, the petition was approved in 7 months.  From there to visa approval (NVC and consulate abroad) was another 4 months.  Good luck!
