Depends on the age of the K2 applicant.  My step-son wasn't interviewed as he was only 12 years old at the time.

Hi @Greenbaum, my 11 year old daughter is currently at the pain in the butt phase 😂 and when I practice her for simple Q&A her default answer is I don't know...

Q: Do you like him (my fiancé)

A: I don't know

Would this affect the interview badly?

When I teach her the proper answers to  jog her memory along like

Q: Where did you meet him?

A: Instead of her default I don't know, at our house (cos he came to visit)

She says, shouldn't we be honest when we answer 🙄😔😑

You should answer all questions honestly, this is true.

The thing is they actually met when he visited us at home (aside from the time the 3 of us stayed in a hotel & attended a relative's wedding) . But my daughter has this devil may care attitude and she wants to answer everything with "I don't know" which makes me worried about the possible outcome of our interview

Your'e at a crossroad with her and their isn't much you can do. I believe that a CO would use their common sense and experience to adjudicat your case.

Yeah kids can be difficult at times. Just tell her that this interview is important and that you need her to be at her best and courteous behavior. Sounds like she's not on the same boat with you on your relationship? But that's another topic. As the other posted, consul officers are trained and well experienced in conducting interviews and for sure they will not grill your child with mind bending questions. Best of luck.

To have a  positive perspective, I think she's at the stage she finds relationships yucky and vows she will never get married 😂

Interview is scheduled tomorrow and I'm getting really nervous 💓

Thanks @greenbaum & @apple21!
