Yes totally agree with this.

I believe she is wanting confirmation from the transcripts because of the k2s travelling with me.

The more my head clears from the confusion and stress it does seem like she may have been mistaken.

When she first said “one of them had submitted the incorrect form” I questioned her who and which form was needed.  She waved her hand over towards both of the I-134 forms and said I’ll give you the information on which form in a moment.  She then picked at the i-134s not actually reading much of the forms but looked for a moment at the w2. She then said that she wanted more evidence to show that the k2s will be supported.  (The w2 exceeds the 125% poverty guideline) this is when she got the 221g out,  marked and underline the i864 and started to circle it. Then marked and fully circled the tax transcripts areas as seen in previous photos.

Is it wrong of me to think that she stopped halfway through circling the i864 part because she realised she had made a mistake, but wasn’t about to admit it?

I am not disagree with you as it sounds very logical.

Don't over think that. Get the transcripts, have your cosponsors fill out (again) both I-134 and I-864, they are not hard to do, and those transcripts are evidence that goes with them. Print signature page of both, sign it, then send you PDF and scan of 4 signature page 2 for I-134, and 2 for I-864. Print them all out, substiture signature page from PDF for scanned copies, then submit the whole thing with all 4 forms, and have them sort it out. I believe as long as they will have transcripts showing enough income it should be enough.

I 864 is not relevant to a K.

Yes, we all know that, it was hashed, rehashed over last 5 pages, except the fact that OP has a piece of paper with a thing circled explicitly requesting it. So it is relevant to this specific case. Was it a mistake? Most likely, yes, but it is not like he can go there in a person and clarify it, because everything about this process is made as difficult and as obfuscated as possible.
Why take a risk and get refused while being "technically right," instead of living in US with the loved one while giving them what they requested, and covering the bases of the mistake.

The I 864 issue has passed.

@Wuozopo @Greenbaum and the rest of you amazing people that helped and advised!

I hope you don’t mind the tags guys but I needed you to read this.

Today our visa status’ turned to issued! And it’s all because of the help and advice you gave! You guys are amazing, I honestly don’t even think I can put it into words how thankful I am for your help. @Wuozopo  the example letters you gave literally Turned this whole thing around I believe.  Both yours and @Greenbaum knowledge on all this have got us to this stage and we are so grateful. We’ve not had to hand any of what was requested.  They didn’t inform us they was sorting it, it literally just changed to NIV AP Tuesday and issued today!

Again thank you all
