Upgrading f2a to Cr1

My husband filed a petition under f2a our priority date is october 2018 then he was naturalized last march 22, 2019 and upgraded the petition last april. He didn’t receive anything yet since then.

It takes about five months for the upgrade.

You will likely get a lot of answer but to anwser some quick questions and worries:

 

1. Where to check if case was upgraded ?
   Old myUSCIS website here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do. After you login, click on case number and below there will be case history if it was upgraded or not.
2. Notice of upgrade completed?
   If you haven't received a notice either via mail or email, yet, even if you mailed them the doc. It likely hasn't happened yet.
3. How do I do it quickly ?
   Chat with USCIS, you can do it via Ask Emma by asking/typing in to talk to representative/agent, takes a while to get an agent but you can. Have your details (case no, dob, address on file, name etc) and the Naturalization certificate number handy.
4. How long will it take after submitting a new request ?
   Most people who do a chat or over phone get an email within < 7 days and the notice will state they will make a decision within 5 months after upgrade.
5. Anything more I can do after talking to USCIS?
   Once you put in a Service request, the SR number should show up on old myUSCIS, you can fax them a brief letter that mentions your case number, SR number and cert number along with copy of I-130 receipt and nat cert copy.
