Perhaps a small portion of the blame.  Maybe the centers could be better run (I've not been to one, so I can't say.  But they have been run this way for many years.)

 

But I stick by my theory that had mom & dad stayed at home, they would still have the same number of kids.  But they felt the gain was worth the risk (which is sad in and of itself).

 

The journey is tough on seasoned folk, so it's devastating on kids,  even with the semi trucks that the dems sent to help them along the way.  Kids today are not tough enough (most of them) to handle a journey of over a thousand miles, mostly on foot.  They are severely weakened and vulnerable to sickness by the time they get here.

 

It's a dog-eat-dog world when you try to breach another country's border.  Imagine where your kids would be if you tried to enter Mexico without doing the proper paperwork?  People end up in jail for years doing that #######.

I believe it's 2, your article states 45k apprehended in the last 3 weeks  from 52 different countries and seems to place the blame on congress for their lack of action ...   -- send invaders back to the "first safe country" that they entered (= Mexico)

  -- arrest all adults accompanying children for Child Endangerment

  -- charge all adults accompanying children with Human Trafficking

  -- start massive PR plan in Guatemala/El Salvador/Honduras to head to Panama or Costa Rica for asylum

  -- find out who's funding/organizing these caravans and take them out of service

  -- ask Obama why he escaped criticism for doing the exact same as the gov't is now doing

Returning to the opening post, the very best thing for the Republican party would be for Congresswoman Occasional-Cortex and her fellow travelers to get absolutely all the air time and print quotes that they can possibly get.  It should be encouraged.
