The obvious solution would to contact the Consulates of the Children involved so they can be taken care of properly in their home countries, many of the Adults involved do not seem to have a family connection and anyway need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

How can you not care that children are dying in US custody because of negligence?

Dying because of negligence? The only one that I saw that might have died due to negligence was because the child died due to respiratory issues due to cold. Which was about 1-2 days after being caught by CBP

how do you know they were not sleeping on concrete in their own country?

were they abused, or did they die of something they had when they arrived?

They became sick while in custody, flu and other infections. Children are sensitive and delayed treatment led to their death.

So DHS is going to let people from the Consulate in when they barely allow anyone to come inside these centers?

Why would they need to go in, just handover the trafficked children to the Consulates for safe return.

I watched a handful of border guards jump in the Rio Grande to save families that were crossing the river a few months ago, These guys put their lives on the lines to rescue others.

Look, it's great that you care enough to pay attention to the kids being hurt in this ordeal.  But bear in mind that EVERY SINGLE child who has died in US custody was put there by a parent(s) who felt the risk was worth the reward.  It is NOT the fault of the detention centers, nor of the people who oversee them.  I don't follow the situation, so I trust that you are speaking the truth about those that have died.

But...  have you considered how many children have died in transit?  I would bet you my next paycheck it's more than 8.  How many kids have been turned into sex slaves during the journey,  before they even reached the US?  How many were just... lost forever?   You cannot blame our country for those, nor should you blame the US for the handful who died in custody.  At the end of the day,  the ones who deserve your outrage are the parents who sacrificed their kids' lives, period.  Had they stayed ar home,  in an environment they were familiar with, they might still have complete families.

It's a [removed] situation to be in to feel the risk is worth it.  I hope I'm never put into it, because it would be a TOUGH decision to make.  But if I risked my kids' lives and they died, I would only blame myself.

If they die in transit it is absolutely the fault of the parents. But these children are dying in detention centers run by the US. It is the United States fault at that point.

If they die because of health issues exaserbated by their journey then it's the parents fault, or are you ascerting the kids are in great health upon arrival and are dying because of the direct actions of the US government?
