I know this has been dead for a few days, but I have some personal frustrations I need to air and I know that ya'll will be supportive if anyone decides to look at this thread again.

About three weeks ago I tweeted at my congressman and at Trump (bc why not) about how USCIS had hung up on my husband three times in three days. I was obviously frustrated, was not expecting any response from anyone and was just vocalizing my opinions. I mentioned something along the lines of "illegal immigrants are being processed quicker than legal immigrants. Why is my legal immigrant husband being treated worse than someone breaking the law?" I have since cooled off.

My older sister, who lives in Spain after getting a work visa that took all of two months, has been sworn off Twitter for about a year and a half because she was finding herself too dependent on it. She really only goes on when she needs to get in contact with customer service for various airlines. Yesterday, I guess she wanted to go on some SJW twitter spree. She saw my heat of the moment tweet and said something like "I'm sure your frustrated, but he has toiletries and a bed. He's not being treated worse." I do agree with the fundamentals of her response (as we're pretty comfortable even while waiting for EAD and GC), but I also know she is so out of the loop with everything that is going on. She has no right to speak in regards to this especially when it comes to her sister and brother-in-law. She did end up apologizing because she says she didn't intentionally mean to hurt my feelings. I really am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt since she hasn't lived in the US in almost a year. Our flaming liberal 17 year old sister is even done with the whole illegal immigration thing and is proud to say that her BIL came her legally, and that she's been the host sister of exchange students who did not come here illegally to attend school for a year.

I would gladly stay in a detention center with my husband for a month or longer if it means at the end of it he is able to have a status other than pending. I'm sure I'm not the only one either.

I understand that waiting is hard, we all go through it. But with all due respect I highly doubt you'd want to go an entire month with no toothbrush, soap, an aluminium  blanket and sleeping on a concrete floor with the light on 24/7 for an entire month. There is NOTHING that justifies treating people like this regardless how one feel about asylum seekers and illegal immigrants and USCIS.

So how come Biden is leading in the Dem polls? A lot of people seem to disagree with you.

I don't give a about Biden as he is an ###. I don't understand what is wrong with the American people and I don't understand why Human Rights organizations are not more enraged than they are. This is not how you treat human beings. Children are dying and no one seem to care.

You volunteered for it. These children never asked to be treated worse than animals.

So they are being forced by the Mexicans into this situation, sounds a bit racist.

Then why make the trip over a thousand miles to come here illegally? We did not ask for them to come here but yet here they are and now we as a country are supposed to take care of them. They are given the food they need probably sleeping in better accommodations than I ever did in the Marines.

Also I find it alittle disingenuious how you are saying "You volunteered for it" when you have probably never even joined up or volunteered for your country or your new country's armed service at all. I have been in the exact same boat as @Ban Hammer before while I was with the Marines and trust me it ain't fun nor pretty at all.

The children that are dying because their parents did not provide for them sufficiently on the 1000+ miles through Mexico and the desert to come to the USA.

Wrong. I served for 4 years before I came here.  Children should not have to sleep on concrete just because their parents decided that somehow the US is better than their home country.

There are 6 or 7 children who has died inside the detention centers since September.
