Team, just a short note to let you all know that I received an email from NVC including the case number. I guess the real Visa Journey has just begun!

That's how we felt as well.  Once we got the NVC notice, it truly begins.  We submitted our documents not too long ago and have started the waiting game yet again.  Good luck to you.

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On February 27, 2020, we sent your case, Receipt Number LIN199, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address.

Most everyone goes to Nvc for the Visa, says here that it has been sent to DOS for visa processing.

Any ideas on this?

The NVC is a part of the Department of State.  If you received your approval, you should be getting an email shortly from National_Visa_Center email.  It'll say "The Department of States National Visa Center (NVC) received your approved immigrant visa petition".

I don't think they will send you the email. As long as you have the SRC#, email no longer matters.. Just waiting for the paper I-797 to arrive in mail. I think we won't hear anything from USCIS till end of the year or early next year.. Current processing time is 6-8 months to get approval from USCIS..

I submitted my papers for both of my parents last June 17,2019 and recieved the notice of action after 3 weeks.but after that never heard from USCIS if approved or not..is anybody is the same as my priority date

Hi, Guys!

I just submitted all the applicant and petitioner's documents through NVC. I have two following questions:

1. What is the approximate wait time before the interview is scheduled?

2. Once the interviewing officer approves my mom's visa, do I have to file another application and pay fees to the USCIS?

Thank you all in advance!

Get yourself familiarize with the NVC process listed below.  Interview depends on how soon you pay the fees, how soon you send the correct documents, how soon NVC reviews and accepts the documents and how long is the backlog at the embassy.
