I have already filed the I130 and my husband and I are waiting but the I485 instructions state the person must be in the states to file this form and my husband is in Nigeria.  Will he be able to come to the states once our petition is approved and file?

I-485 does not apply in your case.........Read the CR-1/IR-1 guides at https://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1/

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

By the way, your timeline is incorrectly configured.....It shows a "NVC Received" date but no "I-130 NOA2"  date.

Thank you so much. I know I must have read this before.  I am just trying to be proactive and make sure we are not caught off guard with anything.  Thank God!  I will look at my timeline and try to fix it.  I am still learning this Visa Journey.

This is one of the mandate for the visa.

There is no I-485 visa.........the I-485 is a form used for adjustment of status for people already inside the US.
