Or Louisiana...but they would have to transfer my case pretty far to find an office less backed up than Louisiana or Texas.

I'm about 20 minutes south of DFW so I'm taking a shot in the dark and saying I might end up going to Oklahoma, could be Houston also, I'm a December filer so i'm not sure when exactly I'll hear anything with the new transfers

Certainly won’t be Houston because they are backed up to a year, just like Dallas.  I am hoping OKC, or anywhere will open their doors!

I don't think all offices are doing transfers,  mine doesn't have the note saying they are moving applications. If you look up the New York - New York field office you can see the note. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/new-york-new-york-field-office

I never even checked Houston, I REALLY hope we get transferred at least somewhere, it's disheartening to see people that applied at the same time or even after us in other offices already having their oath ceremonies and we're all still sat here with months to go

On the Dallas thread, we can see that Dallas is now to 10 months to schedule the interview.  They have picked up!!!

Soo I was shocked when my case was updated with 'interview scheduled'. I applied early April(online) and the estimated completion time was 20 months at the time! My interview is scheduled for mid August. My case was not transferred but something is definitely happening if I went from 20 months to 5 months processing time.

Atlanta office.

11/01/13- Mailed AOS Package
11/03/13- USPS update- Package delivered
11/08/13- Texts received for acceptance of all 3 forms

11/19/13- Successful biometrics walk in
11/27/13-Received RFE
12/16/13- Sent requested evidence

Had my interview yesterday, Aug 12th in Tucson, AZ. I was among the 'lucky' ones whose case got transferred from the Phoenix office. Tip: they said they didn't just randomly pick up a batch of PHX applications to transfer to Tucson, it was all the southern areas (Not sure what that meant, but my friend who filed her application around the same time I did, had her interview and oath taking in PHX. She lives in northeast Mesa and I am from Chandler. Basically I am south of the US-60 and she is north. Go figure.)

My appointment was at 8am. Came in with my son but he remained in the wait area-- in case anyone was wondering if they can bring a companion. Got called by the officer into the interview room. He asked the expected questions and some smalltalk. He obviously reviewed some of my application snapshots PLUS previous files. He asked 6 questions for the civics quiz. English speaking/writing test also from the civics review material. He congratulated me and asked me to wait for the oath taking notice. Within 10 minutes I was called again along with 2 others and were given the oath taking information that will take place in Casa Grande, Aug 23rd.
