I'm sure everyone here has given all great answers and I won't reiterate about telling the truth and being honest, but let your "friends" know, even if they get through with their lies, if found out eve 5-6 years from now, all can be stripped from them because of it. So is it worth the risk? No.

The chances of getting another B with a recent bounce is so low as to be nigh on impossible, wonder what sort of job he does that requires him to visit the US for so long and for so often. An easy refusal.

I say chances as we never know the fully story, just glimpses, and he is certainly free to apply.

Lie, well that just adds a waiver to the equation, more money and another year or so processing.

Sounds like the ost practical solution would be her to be the one that moves.

I was in a similar situation with cousin. I faxed their details (with their plans) to USCIS, reported her on the USCIS tipline, then faxed details to their airport of entry to all of the people I could find listed online. Admittedly, I didn't have any real proof outside of a few chat messages, but I thought they might ask her more questions. It didn't make any difference; she waltzed on in with the intention of marrying and staying on a B2. (Even more frustrating, the USC husband-to-be's lawyer recommended the course of action (!!!!).

Unfortunately, it is the officer at entry who will decide your cousin's husband's intention. There is nothing more that you can do now that you've informed her.

It's unfair for people to cut the line and makes it rougher on the rest of us doing it legally.

I think the reality show profiling CBP's work should be required viewing for anyone entering the US (it's currently available on Netflix). I'm amazed how many people enter this country under false pretenses. A lot of them are Canadian too! With much less to gain than someone from a developing country. Boggles my mind...

CBP already refused entry to cousin's husband.

Border Security: America's Front Line. It profiles just a few POEs: JFK, O'Hare, 1 land crossing in Washington state, and 3 spots in Detroit (the airport plus two land crossings).

He’s not planning on telling the consulate that he got married in the states

You should tell your relative that what her spouse is planning to do is visa fraud.

They are stupidly wasting their time.  The chances of his getting another B1/B2 are slim......

I am glad I am not the only one noticing this. There is an obvious reason the first B1/B2 was voided in the first place. If they wanted him to keep the visa, they would had simply denied entry and allowed to come back another time.

Actually, we are watching the series now.  Quite interesting on what people think they can get away with.  Also learned a few things too that my wife had misconceptions about.

I'm not. People lie through their teeth all the time. It happens every day, at every corner of every US Embassy and Consulate across the world. People lie like crazy to get a visa. That's why I have a lot of respect for the COs, the front line officers, who are actually conducting interviews everyday, gets lied to their face and they KNOW it, and still act with courtesy and respect. I probably will not last very long as a CO interviewing people for a visa. By about the second or third applicant, I probably will start slapping people in their faces.

Have you watched “border security: america’s front line” on Netflix? If not youve got to see it. You are spot on after seeing the whole series I have so much more respect for our men and women at our front of the lines.
