I noticed that Montreal doesnt ask for proof of ongoing relationship? Did anyone get asked for this

Why not go to the sub-forum for Canada and ask your question. Better served from those from Canada then German or Spain or Russia. If it is not in your P3 typically it will not be asked for.

Packet 3: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf  And Packet 4 for reference also: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/03/Packet4-MTL.pdf

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the sub-forum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Birth Certificate and Police Certificate information

Here is some additional information. As was stated in the Canadian sub-forum there is an "emergency order" application in Ontario. You need the birth cert that is CERTIFIED COPY OF BIRTH REGISTRATION that has the parents name. You don't want the "parental cert" that is a wallet sized one with parents names but no place of birth, doctors who attended birth etc. The parental one is for parents travelling with kids to prove custody in an easy to use/travel with format. Hope this clears up your question. CALL the registrar and tell them you need to do an emergency application otherwise you will be waiting 15+ weeks. Absolutely the long form is a required LIVE document needed at the interview or you'll get rejected.  I hope this info is helpful and best of luck.

In case you're doing the medical in Vancouver: Dr. Cheema requires you to schedule the interview first in order to book the medical.

Jerusalem also doesn’t formally ask for it, but I brought it with me to the interview, and the interviewer wanted these documents. I think it’s important.

There in lies the problem with your reply and that is you are relying on what happens in Israel and she is interviewing in Canada. Two different embassies with two different requirements. It's better for her to ask those from Canada that are "the boots on the ground" that can give her exactly what their experience is. This is to important to receive unverifiable information from those of us who have little knowledge about the process for any embassy's interview requirements. Of course if you have a link that explains this differently that would be a big help. I'm sure you wouldn't want to cause someone to fail their interview.  I've seen it happen before.  I know your hearts in the right place.

I agree with you, but I personally prefer to be too cautious and have more documents than actually needed, just in case.

I understand your motivation but then where does it stop. It would mean bringing the kitchen sink.

That's why the CO has the ability to issue a 221(g) for further documents.  The setback is 2-4 weeks at most embassies.

Good luck.

I apologize. This was my fault. I shouldve been more careful about where I posted.

You posted your question in the right place and we are addressing the many issues that as much as one may try to meet every question or requirement, you may not. Hence their is a tool that the CO can use that doesn't automatically cause a denial.

Your fine.
