K1. Any point in phoning really??

Just wondering if any VJ's who had to wait a while for NOA2 for fiance had any luck with phoning to find out what's the hold up. We are on day 112, no touches, no RFE's, no noth'n. Andrew rang about 10 days ago and was told to wait another 2 weeks. It took him a while to get a human last time and he is in the process of moving so don't really want to waste his precious time trying again if he just gets the same answer, as many seem to. Does any one have any clues on how to get any info. Is it better to email maybe???

Thought I was doing real good at waiting but the tide has changed and I am just about desperate now.

Thanks, Stella.

Stella,

Is there anything different or complicated about your case that would slow it down? I don't really see any reason for your case to wait so long while others are getting through before you. If I were you I would email them. If you don't get any satisfaction there then I would have your fiance call them.

I am pulling for you Stella. Wishing you a speedy approval!

Gary

Yeah thanks GaryC, well every time I think of something it may be it seems that they are not such a worry. I guess we just got one of those red flag things on the FBI checks. Just wish they would say what it is but I gather if that happens (red flag) they don't necessarliy tell you, you just gotta wait another 6 months or whatever till they sort it out. Andrew says he will ring and email again this week and if still no luck he will try the local congressman as I have read others have done here.

Hi Stella *hugs*

Going by the processing dates for NCS they are processing I-129F with a receipt date of December 21. You havent quite reached that yet so you shouldnt be stressing right now about security checks etc. I know this wait is stressful and our minds can run amok. Calling them now is a total waste of time as you have not yet reached the date they are processing and will just get the standard answer to call back.

IF once they start processing, one has a name hit whether yourself or the USC the majority being false hits are cleared up fairly quickly. Sometimes though it can take a lil while longer to resolve it. Be thinking positive girl.....this is NOT gonna happen :P Im predicting an approval without hiccups

Ta Aussiewench. You really are a wonderful help to every one here. Yeah I am running amok. Just don't get it. I even started to wonder if it was because Andrew was wearing pyjamas in one of our photo's. It was very difficult to find a normal'ish looking photo to send. I am blonde but most of our photos together I either have a Vamperilla outfit & wig on on or well.......use your imagination......didn't think at the time about getting you know your "Pixie" type family photo.

On our VJ Nebrasca waiting list there is really only one other still waiting in front of us. The others have not been active for some time, so I am assuming they have given up or whatever. At this rate I'm gonna be totally grey before I get there.

Hugs back,

Stella.

hahahaha can I see...how funny :P

I really wouldnt be stressing about it right now darlin'. I will bet anything that all those not around at the moment havent gotten their approvals yet either if they are around your date of receipt. Even though those dates are only a guideline they are usually only a couple of weeks out. Some get lucky and get an early approval. I never got any help from the telephone. They are contractors that are paid to coddle folks on the telephone. I really don't think they have access to the juicy info that you want. i think their job is to blow smoke.

I don't think you should be too alarmed though. Even if you fall in the " extra security measures " classification it is just a little extra time. I do understand your frustration. We felt the same way. We had no problem with the delay. We only wanted to know how long!

Yeah thanks sJoeFlo1, this site can be such a life line, with everyone helping each other out. Feel so much better now. The links Aussiewench pointed me to helped so too. Just felt so weird seeing all these late January people approved. We were both pretty dumb about how long this could all take and very optimistically thought I'd be back there by now. :clock::cry: Andrew even booked our wedding before for this Wednesday. Cancelled now of course.

Glad for your happiness too. (F)

Thanks again,

Stella.

I hope you get an approval real soon. I did call them 2 times though just to ask why i couldn't see my case online. I waited 3 weeks before i made the 2ond call to ask them same question. Then the next week we got our approval which i really didn't expect. I don't know if it was becouse of my phone calls or not. And yes i do agree aussiewench's sites have helped out so much. Thanks aussiewench and all the others that have been so helpful through this process.
