for what visa?

you show no timeline info

Its not for a visa. I am here in the US and my husband filed the I130 for alien relative petition. And I filed the AOS I485. I wanted to know the documents reached into the office of USCIS last Wednesday June 12. How long will I hear from them to hear they recieve the documents as I also file the E notification or to get my reciept number to track my filing.

Typically you'll get a receipt notice (NOA1) within 30 days.

Then you likely won't hear anything until the EAD/AP is issued, or they issue an RFE. ETA: ~4-7 months.

Then nothing again until your interview is scheduled, which depends on your local field office...could be few months to 18-24+ months.

Although I wanted to include the G1145, my attorney would not include it. I waited until I received NOA1 to sign up on USCIS case status (old site) and myuscis (new site). My attorney also refused to let us pay with our personal check, she insisted that she pay all fees from her trust account. So I do not know when the checks cleared, but I do know that it was before they sent me NOA1, so only a few days after they received that package.

Hmmm.  What was her reasoning for that?  To ensure sufficient funds?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Her reasoning was that SHE wanted to be able to see when the checks cleared, and didn't want to rely on me to relay that information to her. At first I was skeptical because I'm a bit of a control freak, but she ended up being very on-top-of everything, so I was able to relax.

She may have had other reasons, like the one you mention. That would make sense, as that may gave happened to her in the past.
