My next year response was figurative but in any way, FYI, NVC doesn’t send i-130 back to USCIS if no contact over a year. It will allow one more additional year for response, if no contact in 2 years, it destroys the package.

Like other members indicated, once your 2-year wedding anniversary has passed, upon entering the US at the POE, the 10-year green card will be issued.

Should is a better statement. I have seen instances where this is not caught and a 2 year is issued in error, requiring you to return it and ask for it to be corrected.

When the officer takes your packet, reviews it and writes the date of permanent residence validity in your passport, the applicant can see this and get it corrected right away.

In the example I stated the mistake was made in the Green Card production process, the I-551 stamp was correct. Nothing you can do to get that corrected until it arrives.
