My wife and I are putting together her application for the Adjustment of Status. She came to the U.S. with a K-1 Visa. Would any of the following supporting evidence help our case?

  • A copy of our religious marriage certificate (in additional to our civil marriage certificate I've already included).
  • Photos of us together and at our church wedding.
  • Proof of her pregnancy (ultrasounds, doctor reports, etc.)

Although not required, I'm wondering if including any of the above would enhance our application?

You would bring your bonafide marriage evidence to the interview. Nothing gets "judged" before that. Your application is only reviewed for completeness for the required documents and then sent to sit in line for an interview at your LFO. Other than photocopies of your MC, nothing else is required for the initial application.

Not necessarily true. When I attended my AoS interview, even before we took our seats the IO said she had already made a decision based on my case file (which we had frontloaded with joint bank accounts, joint lease, and other documents of bonafide marriage). So yes, things do get judged before that, maybe not in all LOs, but in some it definitely happens, and if the OP has the opportunity to send the evidence now, I see no reason for her not to.

You don't necessarily want to overwhelm them with paperwork prior to the interview, it might just slow down the process. But here are some things you definitely can include:
1. Any marriage documents, civil, religious, or otherwise.
2. Any joint assets, joint bank accounts, or joint tax returns should definitely be attached to your I-864 which is included in your I-485 packet. This is not only necessary for the affidavit of support but also acts as evidence of your relationship if you have joint assets.

Your supplied evidence was evidence they want.   The evidence the OP is proposing won't be an enhancement

YMMV

I was going to suggest that the OP should send more evidence of financial comingling, but if they don't have those yet, they might as well send what they have. Even though lots of people here on VJ keep saying kids are not evidence of a bonafide marriage per se, birth certificates of children are on the list of what USCIS considers evidence... My point is, pictures and an ultrasound are secondary evidence, but they will not harm the OP's case. Therefore, if they want to send it, they might as well, but as you said, it won't be much of an enhancement.

Don't send those items to USCIS, they will probably lose them. Save all of those "cherished" items in a family memory album, and leave them at home.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
