Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone moved after the interview ready to be scheduled. I am a bit nervous and calming my fears with the hope that Northern Va and DC share the same office. We moved from DC to Alexandria and are wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

We moved in late April but it was within Virginia (Arlington to Falls Church).  We submitted all the paper-work and got the receipts.

Our Interview status has been in "Waiting to be scheduled" since they cancelled our initial date of April 3rd.  It's just a HUGE slowdown right now and as has been noted, USCIS isn't focusing too much on Green Card interviews.  The looming furlough will also probably slow things up as well.

We just applied for my husbands EAD renewal and also got a receipt number beginning with IOE... our interview was also scheduled for March 19th but no sign of rescheduling yet.

I’ve heard the same about the oath ceremonies being the priority right now. It appeared for a while like they were going to adjudicate straightforward green card applications without an interview but I have not heard of that happening since early April so don’t know if it was just a rumor.

The waiting around is starting to get frustrating.

Well, the updated estimated processing times for AOS are now 11 to 35.5 months. Not sure how it went from 30 to 35. Fun!

At this point I just hope that the EAD processing times remain 4-6 mo and that I get my renewal in time so that I don't lose my job.

So from what I can gather, No one has had a rescheduled appointment or had a new appointment issued out of the Fairfax office?

We can apply 180 days before the expiration and get an extension of 180 days with the receipt notice which is technically a year for the EAD renewal to be processed. In the meantime we may get our GC,also 1 year is a pretty long time to get a renewal.

I hope the furlough doesn't happen.

I’ve just received the following update from USCIS

“Application Support Centers (ASCs) will begin reopening in 3 phases. Notices for Phase 1 of ASC reopening should be coming out this week for appointments starting on July 13th. Phase 2 will begin two weeks later and Phase 3 will begin two weeks after Phase 2. The Phase 1 scheduler ran on Friday June 26th; applicants may expect to receive biometric services appointment notices this week.

The Alexandria ASC was part of Phase One. You should receive an appointment notice by July 26th.

Contact us Monday the 27th if you have not and we will need to place a service request for a non delivery of the notice.”

They also advised that it won’t be update on any trackers and that we’ll get a letter. Hopefully this means we’ll all get our dates before next week!

I have not heard of anyone on here getting a new interview date yet, nor have any of our clients at work who had interviews cancelled. Apparently there is a huge delay in printing green cards and work permits at the moment as well. Good news about the ASC’s though. Hopefully things will start moving again soon however slowly.

I have also read about the huge delays printing green cards and EADs and I'm all out of words.

This came out today, some good news, furloughs are not happening for now (at least not in August).
