My fiance just left the embassy in London and received a letter stating the visa is in administrative processing because they're waiting on the medical. Once they receive it, will we just get a letter or will he have to come back in for a second interview?

There is no second interview. Once everything is received, they will proceed to either issue the visa (hopefully) or deny. Did they ask to keep the passport?

Yeah, I just saw the other post. Keeping the passport is usually a good sign. The interviewer's attitude could also be a tactic. Sometimes, the interviewer intentionally appears to be nasty and rude in order to throw the applicant off track a little to see if he would slip anything out.

And sometimes an unprepared, nervous, or clueless interviewee just perceives the interviewer is being rude when they are doing their job of asking about 3 criminal charges.

He said he tried to explain why he used the ESTA and she just kept interrupting him and was very short with him.
