We just had an email saying they are reviewing our documents and will let us know if something is missing etc, Does that mean they are actually looking at them like now? Or they will get around to reviewing them at some point? This whole process has me up and down like a yo yo🤣

Exciting!

It means that for now all the necessary/required documents were uploaded and that you are in the queue for review. You can log in on CEAC and all your documents will have 'submitted' behind them, correct?

Now, it will take the NVC up to 3 weeks to review and as stated, they will let you know if anything is missing or if they have rejected a document/documents and that you need to resubmit anything. (with the painful result that this might take up to another 3 weeks of waiting).

To give you an idea:

NVC reviewed our documents after 5 days of submitting already. BUT... 1 document was rejected because it was not the right side up so we had to resubmit that document. It took the NVC 3 weeks to review that document...

The NVC stage can go quick but is also the most rollercoaster like stage :)

Ours were submitted on the 18th may, all but one document was accepted. Very frustrating lol They rejected the affidavit of support form due to it not being in ink so we submitted it again and have been waiting since the 31st may for them to review the document again.

So frustrating, I know... It is almost  like they want to punish people for making a mistake!

But your wait should almost be over then.. And then the wait for the next nail biting stage which is will be waiting for the interview appointment letter! I received mine just today, almost 3 weeks after all my documents were accepted and our case became Documentarily Qualified.

Thats how it feels lol. It's a lot quicker then the uscis stage. But I'm working against a clock lol. I'm hoping to be reunited with my husband before our son is born. But I'm 28 weeks pregnant now aha so I really am starting to doubt I'll be back in time.

Yes, that might be pushing it a little  (no pun intended).. Have you checked the timelines of other VJ members from the UK to get an idea of how much time was in between the NVC stage and the actual interview? I hope it will work out for you, it also depends on the policy the airline has in place for pregnant women.

Haha I don't want to be doing any pushing lol I'm already freaked out!! I've been looking and it seems to be around 2/3 months from arriving at the nvc and interview date. Thank you. I hope so too, my fingers are crossed. The email we received today about reviewing documents was from a person called Jesus. Good sign right... ha! I have spoken to the airline directly and asked them about their policy and the person I spoke to said as long as everything in my pregnancy is ok it's fine. And that usually after 38weeks they want to see a letter from a doctor to say I'm fit to fly.

Hi, at least you've got email from them. I'm still waiting for them to review my affidavit form as well and it's been over 3 weeks.

Frustrating but good luck for both of us :)
