Validation of I797

Our K1 visa  was approved on 4th June 2019.but we have sent back the visa packet to US Consulate Montreal to get it resealed, (by mistake I opened the yellow envelope.)

 

But we just realized that Petition Approval Letter from USCIS( Form I797) has already been expired on 31st May 2019.and we don't know if we have to revalidate it or its already revalidated since our Visa is approved on 4th June,2019?

The visa is all you need.

While the NOA2 from USCIS has an 'expiration' date, the embassy will 'auto-renew' it as long as there is action taken on the case. Obviously you got approved and all, so that date doesn't even matter now. So no worries.

Disregard the expiration date on the I-797........Pay attention to the expiration date on the visa, itself.

As others have said, you should be fine.....and don't mess with the envelope from the consulate.

 

You say that you have your K1 visa, but your  timeline is vacant.  It helps everyone that uses the forum, and helps give the VJ stats relevance.
