Zoë’s new drama - I already have a US Visa Appointment Service account

Hi everyone,

 

Just tried to follow the instructions on my embassy letter and have come to my first stumbling block.

 

Step 1 on the website is to register with the courier service and pay the MRV application fee.

 

Unfortunately, when I went to register it informed me that I already have an account set up for my email address - which would make sense, as I already have a US visa, my B1. So I logged in instead - but then I’m just at a homepage and none of the options seem to relate to an MRV fee or courier service!

 

Has anyone experienced this before and if so, how did you resolve it?

Oh man, I’m so lost right now!

 

Just changed the email address on my old account, so I could register using my email address for a new account - did this and all worked perfectly - except, after registering for a new account, I was taken to the FAQ page, again, where there seems to be no reference to MRV fees or the courier service! 😫😫

I could be wrong but I think I paid for the courier service for my K1 towards the end of booking the actual interview after picking time and date.

I just received an email asking me to activate my account. Looks promising. This post may have been a false alarm. Don’t send cavalry just yet.

Follow Step 4 on this page,  but only if you are ready to pick an interview date.  Scroll down to the Steps 1-5 part, not the links at the top.

Make sure you're on the green page, not the blue page when you get your log in sorted. 

 

The embassy  web page just changed this week from Step 1-4 to Step 1-5 and I think it's a mess. Out of order really. "Register with the courier" is a spouse visa instruction because they get their interview assigned by NVC.

 

You do courier, pay, and pick appointment all at same time unless they drastically changed it this week.

I’m currently filling in the DS-160 and getting annoyed at how slow and clunky the system is - this rage is definitely familiar though from when I applied for my last visa - it’s all come flooding back. 😫😫

 

I’m currently trying to get them to accept a photo of me, but apparently all are too blurry! 😫

 

The steps are ridiculously out of sync on the front page - a complete mess 😬😬😬
