Split time between living in New Zealand and USA possible?

My USC daughter's fiance came to the US on a tourist visa.  They got married.  They moved back to New Zealand, where he's from after his 3 month tourist visa was up. They now live in New Zealand.  They want to return to live in the USA for only a year or two, not permanently.  Is it possible for him to get a visa to work in the US as her spouse? I've heard of couples splitting their time between 2 countries, but I'm wondering how it's done.

to work here as her spouse a spouse visa is required but that is to live permanently in the US

and how it is done

all of us here have done it or are doing it

it takes a strong relationship and a lot of patience

it's not easy and many "do not make it"

There is no such thing as a "I want to work in the US for a year as the spouse of a US citizen visa."

US citizens can split their time equally between 2 countries, not their non-US citizen spouses.

Not possible. The US citizen can stay or leave the US anytime she wants. The husband has to come on tourist visa with maximum stay of 6 months.

There is no such thing. The only work visas from the US require sponsorship from an employer.
