California lawmakers agree to health benefits for immigrants

There's enough issues going on in California, what about their huge homeless population. They cannot even take care of their own legal resident, but got funds for this. Someone's priority is messed up.

It was posted in regards to the idea that the state would go bankrupt. I think the issue of Federal money use is in courts.

Quite how much California is in debt is arguable but Billions, maybe Trillion.

CA has a budget surplus this year of $22 Billion dollars this year but they have been trying to still find ways to tax the people of the state. Just this month the General Assembly shut down a $100 million a year water tax to supposedly help clean up the Central Valley's water. But people saw through that guise and had the GA actually shut it down. 

 

At the same time CA has a total of total debt of almost $1.5 Trillion dollars.

What I heard today is that they will use the money from people that have to pay no insurance tax to help fund the mediCal for 18-26 year old illegals.

This will end up like the California weed law vs Fed.  You can get aid then you will fail the means tested benefits which means you can't become legal so you will need aid which means.......

California is going to help the homeless, they are going to go after them to pay for the insurance of the illegal immigrants as I assume the homeless do not have health insurance.

 

But to pay for part of it, the state will begin taxing people who don't have health insurance.

What I wonder is why this only covers illegal immigrants up to 25?  Are there not illegal immigrants over 25 that are in the same income bracket?

I believe they limited it because of the cost
