Hi everyone! I’m confused on my application, had my interview last May 29 and the consul kept my passport and handed me a small piece of paper as to where I can track my passport.

So the next day I check the ceac website immigrant section my case was AP. Consistently checking in everyday then on June 5 i can’t get through the immigrant section it’s very slow but it’s still AP. The next day I tried the non immigrant section and I got in but it still says AP, up until today.

What confuses me is that today is June 10 but the case created and case updated date still says June 3. Is there something wrong? It’s been 9 working days since I had my interview.

Can anybody explain to me what’s going on? Im so confused right now lol. Thanks in advance!

No one can say with any certainty when your visa will be issued. Administrative processing is at its most frustrating when it goes on for several months. We have seen some who have experienced very long delays sometimes beyond a year. Others only days and weeks. I hate to sing the same tune but patience is what is needed.

Just about everyone gets this after their interview.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of these steps:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

When you no longer can get a status update on ceac when you use "immigrant" but you can under "non-immigrant" then it means that you are almost in the final stages. Relax. Everything so far is going the same for you as it is for others.

I got that yeah it’s normal. What I’m asking is why is the date not updated, like it says case last updated was June 3 but today is June 11. What’s the reason behind that coz I don’t know that’s why I’m asking 🙂 yes I know it’s normal and everyones experiencing that I’m just asking why 🙂

Along this journey you must of read others who have stated such things as "this is normal", "it's different for everyone ",  "thats what happened to me." "I never got this or that" "how come you got this or that"? Nothing is predictable and nothing runs the same. My opinion is you are too concerned over something that has zip nada nothing that is affecting the plight of your case. You have to trust the system.

Wahh really the most frustating wait

Because you set your sights too high. Lower them and see how it helps. That's the problem everyone has.  Look USCIS, NVC, your embassy promised you one thing. A YES or  NO answer. It's just not going to happen from your expectations.

Better get used to it, the next phases of your immigration journey are all about waiting. Check out the K1/K3 AOS Progress forum....;)

While you are waiting so patiently,   :time:  Your  timeline is vacant. It helps everyone that uses the forum, and helps give the VJ stats relevance.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
