Wow, hopefully they are taking precautions or at least using a company that is insured.

The reunion went well. He had fun driving around looking at his old houses and schools. The trip up and back sucked the big one, but the time there went very well.

...  I am so tired today.

Got the dog out of hock at the Vets. .... I'm going to go in there tomorrow and have a short, sharp conversation.

The second day we were away, my sister sent me a text to say my mother had died. Not unexpectedly I must say.  We've been waiting for god for years.

I'm glad he had a good time despite the terrible travel.  I don't doubt you are tired.

I hope you gave the vet a piece of your mind.

I'm terribly sorry about your mother.  :(

Yeah, I know and I am a little old fashioned about some things. I actually told Frenchy she doesn't have to marry him at all which may happen anyway since the father's family doesn't even know about her. They are going to his family on Friday to present that they are getting married. I don't know if they are planning to tell his family that she is preggers or not. She's pretty adamant about not telling anyone in our family. His family may very well refuse to allow it due to religion.  It will be interesting to get the report afterwards.

I just hope her sister doesn't get any big ideas. She has a real jerk (putting it mildly) for a boyfriend that she's been pushing to get married. Ick I suppose he will be at the wedding too.

My grandmother refused to marry my grandfather just because she was pregnant with my mom.  She was 16 and he was 21.  She also refused to give up my mom after being sent away to a home to do so.  If she can do that in 1950, we can absolutely do it now!
They did end up getting married after the birth of my mother and stayed married until my grandmother's death.  But as my mother puts it, he finally convinced her that it was because he loved her not because he was a father.

Thanks, he did in spite of the rough bits.

I went down there this afternoon, and let them have it both barrels. Not acceptable. She absolutely fell on her dinner bowl when we uplifted her, I didn't think she'd been fed at all since Friday last, and she hadn't been. She's been mopey, her affect is way off. I gave her an aspirin today because she wasn't given any pain relief either, and she seems much perkier. No antibiotics in spite of them telling me she had two abscessed teeth that had affected her sinus's. And they gave me a new bed, better than the one she had.

Thanks for that, I do feel sorry shes gone, but then again I really think it's just as well.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Your grandmother was a strong woman who knew her own mind. In 1950 that was a very bold decision on her part that took a lot of courage and not one that was generally looked upon favorably.  Good for her!

My stepdaughter thinks she doesn't have a choice. I disagree. There's nothing wrong with waiting until after the baby is born. I would rather she wait to make certain this is what she really wants instead of believing her only option is to get married in a hurry.  But, it's her life and she is capable of making her own decisions.

We had quite a nasty storm this afternoon, with quite high winds and heavy rain. Yanked my shade sail right off the post, broke the wire, and it went flapping madly, banging down on the car which I park under it. I had to go out there in that and cable tie the thing to the fence to keep  the hardware from bashing the car. Instead, the wind yanked it out of my hand, and bashed it down on the top of my head.  Himself, watching from the window, came over all pale and wobbly.  I did tie it down and then  had to drive myself off for stitches.

Enough with this week already.

I have honey bees in my carport attic. I need someone to come rescue them. I'd keep them but not sure I have room for bees, ducks and chickens.

Oh and by the time the eggs older girl got I'll have 70ish chickens. She's still itching to get blue lace red wyandottes too.
