I made a really good rhubarb crumble. If anyone wants the recipe just ask. It's really simple.

We don't want the recipe, we want the rhubarb crumble.

It's the crumble topping that's the really good part. It works well with peaches or apples or blackberries, any fruit really.

And I made an offer on the boat this morning. I'm not too concerned about it.

What kind of boat is it?

So we finally got everything moved in to the new house and started living in it last Friday. Since we live out in the country on 6 acres bordered by farm land we are seeing a lot of deer everyday. Now my wife who has green thumb is thinking about starting about a large garden next year is pretty worried that the deer will eat all the vegetables.

You gotta fence it off like I did. Duh!

Tell Stretch to pick you up some fencing.

Gosh, I haven't seen a stone wall since the last time I was in New England. I wonder how many ticks are nearby?

Snob...

Pragmatist. Do you know how hard it is to find daycare here because of the baby boom and strict home daycare regulations? The original schedule they mentioned to me was doable, but I'd like confirmation that I'm not just on day shift or something like that and they'd be willing to give me leave for classes.

Yeah fencing doesn't work so well unless it's about 6 feet because deer can jump over fences. I saw one do it just the other day in my backyard. This doe was eating the grass in my yard and when she was done just walked over to the fence an hopped over it. That fence is about 4 foot high.

No they don't bother. That NC deer are little dogs man. I forget how high my fence is....It's either 4 or 5. Not expensive at the TSC

Lemme look for a pic...

Spray with what?

Our neighbors have an ugly wire fence around their veg patch. I'm trying to figure out a nicer looking barrier to keep the criiters out. We're going to do structural work in the back yard next spring. We've been just observing this first year here to work out the best place to put the things we want.
