It goes to show what we need to feel content. I'm going to be earning less than half of what I used to but I don't care. I'm going to have to remind myself to act "normal" as I've been starved of company this past year. 

 

Also had that thought - there'll be free AC in the summer and heating in the winter! I won't have to worry about if I'm putting it on too much and how much the energy bill is going to be. I would never have done the K1 if I'd known the strain it would put on me. So, so happy the AOS phase is over. I can't imagine how difficult it must be with a language barrier too (although you'd think I speak Swahili from the reactions I get at times).

Hi all, been completely AWOL ...in brief,  husband steadily declined in health from last I was here. Been in hospital all that time,  save for 3 days at the end of the first week. 

Doctors delivered the news we didn't want yesterday, there's no more to be done for him so we likely have a few days or so. 

Madness! Seriously you guys, hold your loved ones tight, make sure they know you love them, take time in each & every day together. Life is too short & all too often even shorter than we would hope for. 

I have no idea what this means in terms of where I end up but not that it matters, wherever I am if I can't be with my husband.
