So please explain.  What is P math?

P-math = Polish math, see F&J ma'am.

It began in Lower Silesia, is used in Poland, and is rapidly sweeping the rest of the planet, elegant system ma'am.

This mathematical system includes the numbers 0, 1, 2, and Many, specifically ma'am.

Unfortunately, most of this thread's participants fail at its use, re-education needed man.

Our thread's resident Polish Commie-babe, Asia, will confirm the above, oj tak.

(I know what oj tak means. I'm not that flippin' naive).

Not naive, oj nie ma'am.

For example, Tuesday was July Many'rd (2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2-1'rd), simple and elegant man.

Monday was July Many'nd, same principle ma'am.

Sunday was July Many'st, same principle ma'am.

Today -- Wednesday -- is July Many'th, same principle ma'am.

And, most of us in this thread are precisely Many years old, oj tak.

Not reviewing math.

Wallowing in self-pity and annoyed at feeling self-pity.

Thought new, shiny New World job was in the bag.

Not so.

They want transcripts of my education.

No can do due to aforementioned unfortunate luck of being born in doomsday cult.

Left home at 17 to be free of stupid doomsday cult and all certificates of education lost henceforth.

Parents shunned me.

Parents dead.

All paper records lost.

Not such a problem when back home as people knew this and knew I was a top-notch student that attended a top-notch school and did my best.

Struggling to know how to explain this strangeness to strangers.

Worked over 10 years in my field and hope a reference from my last employer will show how qualified I am, but also being realistically pessimistic.

I'm so sorry. Can you not contact the school for transcripts? How long ago was school and are we talking about high school or college?

I was in the last year to take these exams and the exam board no longer exists. This was 1987, when I was 16. It's the equivalent to at least 2 high school diplomas. Even if I had the darn certificates I wouldn't get them transcribed for hundreds of dollars because my job qualifications prove more than some exams I took as a 16 year old, as it pertains to this job anyway. I tried explaining that but I think they have boxes to tick. It's over 30 years ago. There were no electronic records back then.

I'm thinking I may have to do the GED after all. Feeling very lowly. Sub-lowly. Even if I do the GED it won't get me employed in the immediate future and I have to contemplate another winter stuck at home, bored out of my skull and lonely.

Personally I would not do the GED. You did go to school and complete school. Make your own transcripts as a homeschool student as accurate as you can remember. As a mother who homeschooled 4 kids two have already graduated from University and 1 still going and still homeschooling my youngest 2 . A homeschool transcript and diploma are looked at much better than a GED. Michigan has a decent homeschool population they should be more familiar with that.

Why would any employer at your age care about high school? I haven't ever been asked about that.

The Dane did a GED when he moved here. No one has ever cared and it was just fine for admission to community college.

How did I not know until today how aggressive of a procedure declawing a cat is? Our cats had gotten declawed and I don't recall the vet mentioning it. Then again, we also willfully got a dog with cropped ears....

On the topic of cats. A disemboweled cat ended up on my mother's lawn this afternoon. Dead mouse nearby. Suspicious feather near some adipose tissue about 20 feet away.   I'm sure whatever happened was natural, but the questions is what it was.

Cat was given a proper burial.
