Nope. Nothing really different in daily life. Everything is the same work, home, schedule, no new stress that I can think of. Could be the thermostat war at night between me and my mom and just too warm. She likes it at 75 or 76 and I get up and turn it down to 73 and then I fall asleep.

Ah, yep, that'd do it! I have so much trouble sleeping when it is even 75 too.

Quitting definitely the right decision - nodular acne gone, regular acne 98% gone, and I can even go out without makeup if I want.

It is crazy how much stress impacts our health.

You know I gotta say, Turtle's bestie? Her super hot single milfy mom, and baby daddy, they get along great and are good friends. And they do their best to accommodate each other. It makes things so much easier on them and their daughter. We've hung out with them individually, and they're both good people. Except they said they're more like brother sister. She said they always fought when they were together.

I normally do but my ex is funny about money.  He lords it over your head forever that he helped you out.  When i split with him he offered to buy me all sorts or things to keep me (a horse, a new car etc..) but never would share finances with me while we were together.  Ill buy them by Tuesday regardless like I said I would but his reasoning that the tickets would be sold out (by july for December) is flimsy at best.

You junkies, I've battled insomnia for most of my life.

It started when I was about 13 years old. I never did figure out why.

Maybe after my father remarried, and I was totally ignored for a couple of years? Not knowing if there'll be food laying around? Going to school and becoming self-conscious about style and coolness? Because I had maybe 2 pairs of pants? Not even a school bag. I went to work, but all my money was taken from me to the point where I got a dollar a day... In my teens, I slept maybe 4 hours a day. I worked, played tennis, and went to school.

The best sleep I ever got was on a Naval carrier. That gentle rocking motion...Maybe it was like the feeling of being rocked by my mom?  The feeling that I've no recollection of. On those 2 ships,  I must have slept 10-12 hours a day.

Then, in my mid 20s, it was back to the insomnia. But I've learned to deal with it over the years. I went to graduate school. You ever watch a movie where someone studied till they fell asleep with the books? That was me. I slept 3-4 hours a day for about 5-6 years, maybe 7.

In my 30s...I started to sleep better. Most everything was right in my life. Now I follow a regular 6-7 hour sleep schedule. Catch a nap every now and then. It's working pretty good.

You know, this is the first time in my life that I've tried to figure this out, and it's a discovery that's making sense now. I have you 2 junkies to thank :)

and, speaking of junkies, we haven't seen Stretch...

Now...

The woods are lovely, dark and deep

But I have promises to keep

And miles to go before I sleep...

So, I'm not talking to you guys no mo...

Great, I'm going to get no sleep tonight. I just had to google fever with cold feet. Why did I do that to myself? He's got no meningitis rash, the fever comes down with ibuprofen, his hands are warm.

Hope he's ok.

All right, I'm driving.

Not talking, no mo, etc...

He's doing a little better, but still too sick to go to drop in daycare. The Dane is going to meet me outside where I'm taking a test this afternoon and watch them for 20 minutes. Thankfully, it is near where he works.

I've insomnia. 30 years of shift work is the likely cause. 2 days shifts, right away two night shifts, 4 off.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

So true about stress.

Sometimes the most difficult decision is to make the decision itself, then once you do it all falls into place.

I've been around. Plenty of junkies in my family, but luckily I'm the odd ball and stayed out of that #######. Or is that the black sheep, the party pooper and .........

I've been nursing my silkies. We lost 3 already I thought the heat was too much for them and put out a fan gave them electrolytes. Than we found blood after the 2nd one died, we have been force feeding food and water and medication to one then a 3rd was found gone this morning. Something about this batch of silkies from TSC. When we got them they would cry non stop. I treated them for coccidia and the crying stopped. Well I guess they had a rebound so I am treating them again its just not soon enough. I'm really hoping the one in the house recovers. She is so skinny and weak but is fighting so we are giving her her best shot. My other silkies that are also housed together are all good. They are getting treated too, plus the all the other chickens in the other coop. It's been so sad.

I don't sleep all night either. I'm tempted to start going to the gym when everyone goes to bed. It's not like I'm doing anything but stare at the clock. I get my best sleep at 7 am but that makes it hard with kids.

Yeah, stress is a true killer. Five years ago, while waiting for La Colombiana's CR1 to issue so she could join me, I was in a job where I was 40 pounds heavier than I am now, drinking 3-4 beers every night starting around 4:00 pm, still working 12 hours a day, not sleeping well and not eating well. I was basically on the highway to a major stroke or heart attack. I immediately started feeling better when I put in for a transfer, much to the chagrin of my unethical boss. There was no guarantee that I was going to receive a transfer within 90 days so I immediately applied for about 20 jobs out on the street and got my current job 2 months later. Everything turned around for me the day I put in for a transfer. Life's too darn short to put up with that much stress, just for a so called 40 hr a week job.
