Ok, new fook scam...

 

They get a visitors visa, they buy a container full of #### from China. They load the container and ship it here whee 99 out of 100 will get thru unchecked. No tariffs paid.

 

They find a fook landlord, rent the storefront for a couple of months. They peddle their wares until the supply is depleted, whatever it may be. Furniture, clothing, dry goods, whatever. They go back to China, taking all the untaxed dollars with them. 

 

No business registration, taxpayer ID#, no insurance, no DCA registration, nothing!

About 150 square blocks in Manhattan has no power now. 42 to 72 street, 5 ave to the west side. Hudson yards included.

Oh, so 2 days ago, they arrested 1 of the perps for that robbery on my block. He's 19, been arrested 10 times in the last 2 years. All violent crimes. But because of this new policy of the idiot in city hall, he's out every time, no bail. And this time is no exception, he's out already. 

Can you imagine how much crime he committed that he wasn't arrested for?

The kid is up to page 250 on mocking bird. I can hardly wait to discuss the book with her, see what she got out of it. She doesn't know what rape is tho. I explained it as like molesting, inappropriately touching someone...

See, people like this need to be in prison or some sort of intensive therapy. Someone who got caught with a little marijuana, not so much.

Made Many+-hour (2+1+half of half an hour) mini-bus ride from Cuenca to Guayaquil, quite long enough man.

Ecu mountain vegetation very diverse, botanist´s dream observe we man.

Ferns, cattails, pine & other saplings, long grasses, agaves, weeds with white/yellow/blue flowers, plantain trees, broadleaf plants man.

Mountainsides that aren´t pure rock are plastered with these things, sea of green man.

Solar panels are better when theyre rented/leased.  That way they can repair or exchange them as needed.  You still get savings.  As a car lease aficionado, I'm surprised you didn't do this with solar panels steve.

In northern Ecu, some mountainsides along the major highways have been manually scraped to prevent avalanches, si man.

Those that have been scraped bare even have PVC drainpipes inserted at regular intervals, enable water drainage man.

Rockslides remain a constant and deadly danger throughout Ecu´s highway system, many deaths per year man.

We are amazed at how roads got built through all these mountains in the first place, engineering marvels man.

We kept asking Mrs. T-B. the names of various mountains, never an answer man.

We are reminded of our first visit/trip to Ecu, dialogue here man:

Mrs. T-B.-to-be:  They don`t have a name.

Well she figured out where Harper Lee got the title from, and that there are at least 2 "mocking birds" in the story...

 

She got a lot from the book. It was the right decision to give her the book. 

I think she's ready for more standards. Like Anne Frank.
