Forgot to mention that we laundered our laundry at Sister-Mrs.-T-B.´s casa, good machines man.

 

Walked uphill to City Municipal building & town square, limp we man.

Town square is extremely well-presented & well-kept, scenic man.

We bought an Inca Kola and rested on a park bench, chillax we man.

Heard our first rooster (in evening, in someone´s casa or back yard) in a full week in Ecu, unprecedented man.

 

Walked downhill to hotel where we´d stayed on very first visit here, 200Many man.

English-speaking owner not there, sigh man.

 

Walked downhill to central market, buy fresh chickens/pigs/fruits/veggies every day man.

´Twas almost sundown, but some vendors still there, intrepid they man.

We could have rented a booth in which to sell Pre-Owned Toilet Seats, cornered market man.

 

Ran into Cousin-Mrs.-T-B. from lunch on that street, small world man.

Ran into Papa-Mrs.-T-B. almost right after that, small world man.

He urged us into ancient truck, chauffeur we senior he man.

We had no idea where we were going, no man.

Went very rurally over thoroughly potholed roads, hosed back we man.

Ended up at foto-shoot for Cousinette Mini-B., method to unexplained madness man.

Got Many mosquito-bites, regular and not Ecu mosquitoes man.

 

Soon taxxied back to casa, drop Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. man.

Driver took us back to where our city tour had been truncated, resume we man.

Finished scoping town, scope we man.

Bought replacement shampoo/conditioner for Sister-Mrs.-T-B., used lots of hers man.

 

Gave Cousin Mini-B. $Many ($2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2 +2+1) for upcoming birthday, appreciative junior he man.

Gave Cousinette Mini-B. same amount for her Manyceanera, reluctant-then-appreciative junior she man.

 

Ate din-din whipped up by Sister-Mrs.-T-B., ingest we man.

Tried not to break out laughing at Bro-in-Law-Mrs.-T-B.´s drunken interactions, stagger in late he man.

Heard Mini-B. squeal at cold water in shower, objecting wee man.

 

Went across street to thank hair-chica for our cut-/color-hairing, appreciative she man.

Repacked/reorganized suitcases for departure on Fri., rediscover much buried stuff man.

Mrs. T-B. again impressive at arranging ground transportation, facile she man.

Forgot to mention that Mrs. T-B.´s hometown has a population of Many,000, this from Bro-in-Law-Mrs.-T-B. he man.

The city police force is Many (2x2x2x2+1), one officer per Many,000 residents man.

No special qualifications are required other than cadet-type training, apparently man.

 

Forgot to mention that the weather was spectacular again today, rather hot but not too humid man.

We truly lucked out amidst the rainy season, also helpful for tomorrow´s mountainous trip back to Cuenca man.

Worth mentioning that stepping outside for even a second in Ecu gets one covered with diesel/gasoline emissions, stink man.

 

Forgot to mention that most businesses stay open from Many (2x2x2+1) a.m. to Many (2x2x2+1) p.m., some even later man.

A very few close for a couple of hours in midafternoon, lunch or siestas man.

All close up at night by pulling down garage-door-like gates, standard security everywhere in Ecu man.

Random thought of the day: I wonder if the Dane getting super sick with the flu is related to the fact that something like 16% of Scandinavians carry that delta 32 mutation that makes them partially or fully immune to HIV, but also less resistant to the flu. 

 

 

Ok, I'm really bored. I finished one final today - got an A in the class. I've got a guaranteed A in the other.

 

I've got to try and find someone to take some of my shifts next week, now that she has been ever so kind as to grace us all with the updated schedule. 

 

I think I've convinced the Dane to got to the Fuel and Theory of a Deadman show at the fair in Fargo tomorrow night. It will be the boys' first concert.  The oldest one got to go to Five Finger Death Punch and Bad Wolves last year and is getting a mommy and her trip to a Marina one in the fall. 

Nobody wants to go to the Manson concert with me in a few weeks, though.
