I came from nothing. And I've had to work pretty hard for everything that I achieved. But I tell ya what, it's very rewarding. I had enough to retire at around 45. 

So I don't believe in handing out ####.

This morning, we told her that we were taking the cane, forthright we man.

On Tues., Mrs. T-B. awoke and rolled affectionately onto our shoulder, then off-dozed again, shades of years past man.

Then, she came out with above "don't care" comment, sigh man.

 

We went to bakery next door & got Many (2+2+1) filled pastries for Many cents (2+2+1) less than $1, steal man.

Mrs. T-B. liked these, ingest she man.

 

Staying in #2 sister's casa, #2 sister/husband still on road man.

No hot water in shower, freeze we man.

No bathroom mirror, shave blind we man.

Tiny pole-style warsh-basin, no room to set grooming items man.

Prep rather difficult, accordingly man.

 

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. & #Many sister made lunch, ingest we man.

Gave heavy bag of goodies (son's T-shirts, towels, etc.) to #Many sister, last such delivery man.

Had to yank Mini-B.'s tablet from him for 2 or Many days, punishment for rudeness by wee man.

 

Upon hearing of partially outdoor plans, we wore a sweatband, prescient we man.

Mrs. T-B. gave us major grief over this, privately snarl at us she man.

We stuck to our guiding principle that constantly mopping sweat is more uncouth than wearing a sweatband, guided we man.

 

Took brood out for ice cream, we remember the shop man.

Paid $Many-&-a-half ($2x2x2x2+2+2 & a half) for Many people, deal man.

Cashieress impressed with mint $1 coins that we'd up-torn our city's banks to find, like to impress Ecus we man.

Sweated like an illegitimate male child inside ice-cream parlor, oppressively hot man.

 

Taxxied to newish city park, quite impressive man.

Dedicated to Ecu heroes of Ecu-Peru war of 1ManyMany0, Ecu kicked military butt but lost out in diplomatic treaty man.

Astroturfed surface in completed parts, brilliant man.

Adult exercise machines along with usual juvenile playground items, brilliant man.

Cycling track under construction as we watched, improvements man.

Mini-B. & Many (2+1) Cousins-Mini-B. played heartily, quite necessary for Mini-B. wee man.

Sweated before storm clouds gathered, even Ecus complained of sun man.

 

After about an hour, taxxied to Cousin-Mrs.-T-B.'s casa in "suburb" of town, rural location man.

Kids got to play in above-ground pool, quite necessary for Mini-B. wee man.

We enjoyed staggeringly beautiful scenery & listening to social activity, comprendo near-zero we man.

Saw but did not hear next-door roosters, contiguous-yet-silent they man.

Beat hostess' husband at 2 of 2 games of pool, former karaoke bar now their casa man.

Sweated like an illegitimate male child inside pool room, oppressively hot man.

Saw 2-week-old kitten, almost got to pick up wee miu man.

Away-taxxied at around sundown, mosquitoes incipient man.

Mrs. T-B. also enjoyed herself, quite necessary for she man.

 

Afterwards, returned to casa and removed soaked sweatband, return & remove we man.

Ingested light supper at casa, #2 sister had returned man.

#2 sister had completely up-cleaned casa after Many-hour drive back, sweet she man.

#2's husband completed several mechanical repairs after Many-hour drive back, even fix hot water he man.

Neither exhibited any stress or fatigue, amazing aplomb man.

Mrs. T-B. still relaxed, imagine that man.

 

#2s enabled us & Mrs. T-B. to use their Internet, more reliable than Internet cafes man.

Spanish keyboard still loco but much newer and higher-quality, obvious man.

 

Plans to stay 2 more days in Hometown-Mrs.-T-B., stay we man.

To-do list includes, see man --

    -- haircut for Mini-B. for $Many ($2+1), outrageously inflated from $2 Many (2x2x2+2+1) years ago man

    -- visit more relatives, Mrs. T-B. has Many,000,000,000,000 man

    -- shopping for us, shop we man

 

Mrs. T-B.'s overall and temporary moods unknown, expect full spectrum again we man.

Is that something you bought new? Or was it a garage sale find? It is a little weird, especially if you aren't working out.

No, I was hoping to keep it civil.  However, despite her demands for everyone to immediately reply to her, I haven't heard a peep in response to my 2 weeks and offer to have some of shifts swapped out that last week. 

 

On that note, she is the first and only person in my time on earth that has made me feel self-conscious about having a larger chest. I was the only person for whom there was a dress code. She even implied, while we were at a non-work related volunteer event, that my Mennonite levels of modest dress wasn't appropriate. If you knew me, you'd know modest is the name of the game for me in general - I like my skirts/dresses down to at least the knee, I don't wear anything strappy or strapless, I don't consider leggings to be pants (fine under a dress), and so on.

 

Also not my reason for quitting. I complied and bought some scrub tops, because who could find fault with those?

I brought up fitness at my old job.  Seemed to be a bad idea.  My boss was self conscious and even though I tried to help I think it just backfired on me. Too.  Had a serious tall in the mirror with myself yesterday about work. I have my 2nd interview tomorrow.  Learning what i can about the company.

I can only speculate. Part of it might be that I was also going to be a lot more qualified in the course of the next year.  

 

 

I was so relieved when we went down to one of the suburbs of Minneapolis and I realized that people do still dress normally and it wasn't just me. There hasn't been some national shift to free t-shirts. It was like this giant breath of fresh air: bookstores, culture, hills, and people being genuinely nice and not nosey nice. 

 

Good luck with the second interview. You will do great.
