And, this is what I mean about people here cutting you off to make an illegal turn, fail to yield, etc...

And now, the illegals here will get regular driver's licenses. As if it's not bad enough.

Keep in mind, all u-turns in NYC are illegal.

Man didn't I tell you Wal-Mart is constantly beating them? Target has been great too! And you know who else? Ace hardware.

I just bought a new charcoal grill, HD beat everyone by 25 bucks or more, free ship to home.

And I got Turtle 🐢 and her bestie Minnie mouse slippers. Wal-Mart, 5 bucks. Amazon, 12 bucks...

Point is, Wal-Mart can ship this bridge from NJ! They've gotta take advantage of their brick and mortar stores.

School supplies, Amazon can't come close to Wal-Mart.

So, this grill, I thought was the same as the one for $50 more at Lowe's, but it turns out it didn't have the fully removable bottom for cleaning. I told the Dane I'd just return it and get the other one, but he didn't want it. We put our old grill out on the curb and within a few minutes some of our neighbors took it.  😯 I was surprised because it wasn't in the best shape.

I know there are products bought at Walmart that are then resold on Amazon, I'd bet slippers are probably one of those things.

A couple of days ago it looked like the back to school section was being set up at Target. We actually got the school supply list early this year, but they left out the pre-K supplies.  🙄  School doesn't start back up until after Labor Day, so I guess it doesn't matter.

This upcoming year is going to be the oldest one's last before she heads over to the high school. She was 5' tall as of yesterday.

Well my grill was searched by model number. Target, Wal-Mart, Ace, HD, Lowes, Amazon, all had it. HD wins.

My old charcoal grill, a cheap one that I got to experiment with my charcoal to gas cooking method...my neighbors enterprising 14 year old son took it to scrap. He also has dibs on the central air unit that I'm about to replace. And he took the brass lights that I swapped out on the stoop. I'm gonna call him Fred Sanford lol

How old do you have to be to understand a reference to Fred Sanford? I'm guessing 50.

This is a like a weekly occurrence for me as I do an intra-city 10 minute commute on a motorcycle, Santa Fe being a city of around 80,000 people. No matter where you are you have to be cautious, watching out for idiots. An acquaintance of mine asked me details on near misses, recently. I had to confess to him that I promptly forget every near miss that happens, because otherwise I'm not sure I'd get back onto the bike.

La Colombiana smokes cigarettes and I ride a motorcycle. We're both equally at risk of having to take care of a partner with serious health and injury issues.

Weekly?

Here, anytime you drive! Every single block! There's some schmuck cutting you off illegally.

It's lawless.

One day I'll download the clips from my car cam to show you guys.

It's a combination of all the fook, illegal driver's, and the unwillingness of the police to do any enforcement, not because they're irresponsible, but because it's what this idiot mayor and city wants.

A bad U-turn occurs in front of me about once a week. Other stupid stuff happens daily.

Part of it here in Santa Fe is the old part of town was designed for horse and foot traffic about 400 years ago and the new part of town is constrained by a network of deep dry ravines that forces everyone onto just a handful of streets. So there is no escaping the idiots on the road. People should mainly chill out because it doesn't take any longer than about 20 minutes to go from one end of town to the other, but there are a lot of transplants here (including me!) who often bring their bad driving habits acquired from other regions.

Here, they bring it from all over the world!

That "me first" mentality that causes the infamous 3-5 day China traffic jams, is now here.

It's not in their capacity to understand the words "yield", "right of way", "courtesy", "don't block the box". Nor will they follow the traffic laws here.

There are small miracles, at least.

This one was found an hour ago too.  Dropped off at an ER. Last time a baby went missing while a mother was on drugs out in North Dakota, baby ended up dead in a drainage ditch. So, there is great relief that this one is ok. https://www.valleynewslive.com/content/news/UPDATE-Authorities-searching-for-person-of-interest-in-missing-baby-case-511783731.html

Last laugh...

My wife's thuggy friend calls her, "I changed my mind, I wanna buy the CRV now..."

Me, "No, it's spoken for, there's 2 buyers waiting for it".

She probably googled the price...
