ugh total panic stations as I can't find a checklist of things I should be taking to the AOS interview on Thursday....anyone? anyone? Bueller?
My attorney has given me a list of some things to take because of my circumstances but I'm coming apart at the seams worrying there's something I need & don't have!!

I went to a craft fair with my friend today, I wasn't ready for how all the Christmas related items & Christmas music would make me feel-I held it together whilst there but have had a great big cryfest tonight over it all plus the extra value added AOS interview stress!

You sure  have a lot  on your plate. The stress  of AOS added to everything else, looming Christmas and all, I'd worry if you weren't freaked out a bit. I wasn't interviewed for either AOS or ROC, so I never had to organize a list of things to take to one. So, take what your lawyers suggested, take anything the appointment letter asks you to bring. I'd even take all the paperwork relating to the retrieval of your car as well.

 

As an aside, at the K1 interview, I took everything. The lady behind the window what all 'what on earth did you bring"?!?  I was so sure they would want something I didn't have with me, and we had been held up for nearly 8 weeks in AP at NVC, I wasn't having any more delays. I took all of it, and it was a good thing as well. I had handed her my proof of paying the visa fee, and she somehow misplaced it, right in front of both of us. Not in the paperwork, not on the floor, not in the copier, just *poof* gone. She kept saying "but I had it right here!!".  I did, however, have the receipt copy in my pile 'o stuff, and that was enough to satisfy her.

 

You will get through this Mernymph. Certainly not without stress, and grief and everything else you are going through, but you will get through it.

This year has been very difficult for you and I can't see it ending anytime soon.  Come here whenever you feel it's too much and need to yell and scream.  You're allowed, more than allowed, to have mental days where you just can't deal.  You're strong and keep putting one foot in front of the other, even with every step that tries to knock you down.  Keep up your inner strength lady.  You're amazing.

A frustrating Sunday, sigh man.

Took HSM (Heap Strong Medicine) but was awakened 1 & a half hours earlier than alarm was set, grrr man.

Got late start on laundry, unenergetic we man.

Decided to mow front lawn amidst the Chamber of Commerce weather*, bad fizzicle move man.

     *Texas weather Many**, elsewhere weather zero man

   **at least till Monday eve, brrrr then man

Could not wait until Fizzicle Therapist came at Many p.m., hours of agony man.

Got mobilized back to point wherein HSM might have an effect again, relieve we man.

Fizzicle therapy caucus delayed laundry by 1+ hour, delay man.

Had to go to rental casa to curbside the garbage, heavy bags of ceramic tiles man.

Did not accomplish ANYTHING related to upcoming Mexico trip, unprepared we man.

In general, a complete copy of what you filed , along with 

-- evidence of a combined life since marriage

IIRC, there are 6 major categories for that, actually listed in the I-130 instructions (probably not a form you've reviewed at all, and that's cool, it's not used for the fiance' trail at all). 

 

Sometimes it's hard to generate that evidence for a K-1 visa holder, unless they were successful in obtaining a SSN card inside the 76 day window after Point-of-Entry. 

OTOH, the rules for this exact type of adjustment are different, usually a 'new couple' won't think about that type of evidence as well.  

 

When you get on a PC sometime today, take a deep dive on the I-130 instructions, then compare the evidence list with what you have or what you are able to generate.

We have snow, I just passed my test & got the car & we have snow. I have driven in snow on occasion back in Scotland but it was always with a manual gearbox where I could use the gears for breaking-this worries me.

It's pretty impossible to provide the usual evidence of joint names on things being that my husband's name has been removed from accounts/lease/etc when he died.

I'm really scared of how all this is going to go, but y'know what, how much worse can it be? Nothing that happens can change him not being here with me.

When driving on snow, recognize that every "normal" action (braking, steering, etc.) becomes magnified, si SM ma'am..  A tiny touch on the steering wheel can yield a big movement, si SM ma'am.

Sometime back in 2015 I thought it'd be a nice thing to make a jar of little love notes, stamped with hearts, in special tiny cute envelopes I'd found & sent it to Ryan. I told him they were for him to open whenever he felt he wanted to for whatever reason....
I know that he opened them from time to time-he would delight in telling me when he did.

I need to take his driving license with me on Thursday so I opened his wallet to get it....hiding at the back of his wallet, tucked safely away behind the photos of his daughter was one last, unopened tiny envelope love note which he'd carried around everywhere with him.

He was simply the most wonderful, loving, romantic & sentimental man I've ever known!
